Marshal TNI Hadi Tjahjanto Appointed as Commander of TNI,
JAKARTA, TNI Marshal Hadi Tjahjanto officially served as Commander of the TNI replaced TNI Gatot Nurmantyo who retired.
History
noted that Hadi is the second TNI Commander who came from the Army Air
Force after Marshal (Ret) Djoko Suyanto in 2006-2007 ago.
President Joko Widodo inaugurated Hadi at the State Palace of Jakarta, Friday (8/12/2017) at 17.00 pm.
Observations
Kompas.com, Hadi's inauguration procession begins the reading of
Presidential Decree No. 83 TNI Year 2017 on the Dismissal and
Appointment of the TNI Commander by Deputy of State Administration of
the State Secretariat Secretariat Cecep Sutiawan.
"Lifting Marshal TNI Hadi Tjahjanto SIP with NRP 509043 as Commander of the Indonesian National Army," said Cecep.
President Jokowi then pinned the mark on the shoulders of Hadi.
After that, President Jokowi leads the oath of Hadi. Religious figures put the Quran on Hadi's head during the oath of office.
"By
Allah I swear that I am to be appointed to this office either directly
or indirectly with any form or pretext nor to let anyone agree to give
anything to anyone."
"That I shall not accept any gift or any
gift from anyone I know or should be able to suppose that he has the
thing or may be concerned with my position or occupation."
"That I will always uphold the oath of the warrior," the vow of Hadi's vow.
The procession was followed by the signing of the inauguration report. Defense Minister Ryamizard Ryacudu and Police Chief General Pol Tito Karnavian witnessed the signing of the minutes.
The event closed with a congratulation to Hadi followed by the invited officials present.
Appeared to attend the inauguration ceremony, Vice President Jusuf Kalla, the fifth President of the Republic of Indonesia Megawati Soekarnoputri, the leaders of the House of Representatives and the People's Consultative Assembly, a number of Cabinet Ministers and leaders of state institutions including General Gatot Nurmantyo.
Hadi's nomination procession as TNI Commander went smoothly. Without any rejection from the faction, the House approves President Jokowi's proposal after conducting a fit and proper test.
